Ranua Wildlife Park is home to over 50 Arctic and sub-Arctic species — polar bears, wolverines, lynx, and snowy owls — living in enclosures built around the natural forest terrain, about an hour south of Rovaniemi.

We combine the daytime visit with the drive back at dusk, timed so we're already positioned for an aurora hunt as the sky turns dark, rather than doing two separate trips.

What the day looks like

Pickup in central Rovaniemi in the early afternoon. Around 2–3 hours at the park at your own pace, with recommendations on which enclosures are most active depending on season. Hot food stop on the way back, then the hunt begins as darkness falls — same honest-sky approach as our standalone aurora tours.
